This is a fabulous 1970s Leonard done in a beautiful floral black and white graphic. I love the wide A-line cut skirt that flows to the ground and is actually quite wide as it nears the floor despite the fact that it skims over the hips below the waistline. The silk chiffon overlay gives it a beautiful airy feel too! The waist has a bit of extra definition with the contrasting banding that is also used on each cuff. The sleeves are billowing poufs of chiffon and are fabulous! The front plunges and has an attached low tie detail. The contrast between the pattern on the jersey underlay and the chiffon parts is just amazing! Excellent overall condition with two small repairs - please read details below.
Unlined and closes with a hand set, back painted metal zipper. Each sleeve closes with a fabric covered buttons. The fabric of the body is all a poly jersey and has stretch. The sleeves and skirt overlay are silk chiffon. There is a repair under each arm to the silk near the seam where it weakened and had to be fixed. It is visible when laid out but when on you won't see it since there is so much volume. There is the slightest discoloration here as well but again when on its fine. Its too fabulous not to list and I have priced it accordingly. Present perfectly when on.
